10. February 2026

On 29 January 2026, the solo exhibition “Energie dobra / Energy of Good” by Rostyslav Prokopyuk closed at the prestigious “Western Terrace of Bratislava Castle” gallery. Around a thousand people visited over three weeks.

This was the second exhibition by a Ukrainian artist at this gallery after Ivan Marchuk. The show ran from 7 to 29 January 2026, serving not only as an artistic event but also as a symbolic gesture of gratitude to Slovakia and EU countries for their solidarity with Ukraine during the war.

60 Works on Inner Strength and Light

The exhibition featured 60 works: abstract painting, collages and art photography. All the pieces were united by the themes of inner strength, humanity and the transformation of light. Among the canvases were Nekonecne modre, Spirala nekonecna, Udoli svetla, Andele pameti, Ticho na vode, Svetlo na konci sveta and others.

The exhibition was curated by prominent Slovak art critic Luboslav Moza, who delivered a closing address on the power of Prokopyuk’s collages: “Collages are a fairytale where the true strength of the author’s talent reveals itself. It is a different world, a different psychology, that suddenly shows how a person perceives and feels.”

The British Encyclopaedia and the Closing Ceremony

A highlight of the closing was the presentation of the British Encyclopaedia to Rostyslav Prokopyuk, a volume on successful Czechoslovak personalities in which he is listed. The encyclopaedia was handed over by curator Luboslav Moza.

The closing ceremony featured curator Luboslav Moza and Slovak National Council MP Petr Coher. Joining online were Yaryna Yasynevych, Programme Director of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, and Volodymyr Yelchenko, Head of International Policy at the Foundation, former Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN and Ambassador to the United States.

Partnership and Gratitude

Project author Rostyslav Prokopyuk said: “Five years of waiting for approval and finally this exhibition became a reality. I thank the Slovak National Council for their trust and the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation for their partnership.”

Pylyp Orlyk Foundation Chairman Artem Mykolaychuk added: “The energy of good is what is currently keeping the world from falling. That is precisely what we seek to support, preserve and pass on.”

Exhibition partners: Pylyp Orlyk Foundation (Ukraine), National Council of the Slovak Republic, and the Ukrainian Institute in Prague.
